Objective: To understand the usage and functions of Word, Excel and Power point of MS-Office.
Time Allotment: 30 Minutes
Computer divided into two sections.
- Hardware
- It is a physical part of the computer system.
- Example:
- Software
- It is a logical part of the computer system.
- There are main two types.
- System Software
- A system software which controls and manage all kinds of hardware and software.
- Example: Driver, Operating system – Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10.
- Application Software
- Application software which is a specific purpose.
- To use of application software in a computer system – we need to install in a computer system with the help of System software.
- Example: MS-Office, Banking Software, Post Office Software, GNU Software
7.1 Concepts of MS-Office
- It is special application software which is used for office work.
- Example: Open Office, Libre Office, Polaris Office, and Microsoft Office etc…

- So, it is also called as MS-Excel, Microsoft Excel or Excel, only.
